The open-source releases of SeKondBrain — repos you can clone, software everyone can use, a community that supports itself. Most companies build behind a curtain. We package what we build and put it where you can run it — self-hosted, on your hardware, under your control, without asking us.
Community editions are free, open and yours to run — they come with no support desk, no SLA, and no guarantee beyond the licence. Help lives in the open in the community: GitHub issues, discussions, and the people running the same software somewhere you haven’t thought of. In our experience that’s often faster than a ticket queue — but it’s honest to say what it is. If your organisation needs guarantees — hosting, governance, audit export, someone to call — that’s what the Managed and Business editions are for.
The model companies can’t build this, because their incentive is to keep you inside. Ours is the opposite: SeKondBrain works beneath whatever AIs and agents you already use. Neutrality only means anything if you can see it, run it and check it — so Kemory is Apache 2.0, self-hostable, and internally benchmarked at 87.8% on LongMemEval using open-source models, with the method open. Every install somewhere we didn’t think of makes it better.
The most valuable contribution is use: run it on your stack, file what breaks, tell us what’s missing. Beyond that — issues, pull requests, docs, and answering the question you solved last month for the person hitting it now. Contribution guidelines live in each repo.
Everything here is real, licensed, and running in production somewhere. Install it, and build with the people doing the same.
